What if living more sustainably didn’t begin with pressure, perfection, or trying to change everything at once?
An Introduction to Permaculture course is a gentle, grounded introduction to regenerative living, systems thinking, and practical permaculture-inspired design for everyday life.
Created from lived experience on a working croft on the west coast of Scotland, this course explores how small, thoughtful shifts can help us live with greater care — for the Earth, for others, and for ourselves.
Through a series of short video lessons, reflections, and practical observations, you’ll be introduced to the foundations of permaculture thinking in an accessible and approachable way — without jargon, overwhelm, or the assumption that you need land, specialist knowledge, or a particular lifestyle.
Together, we’ll explore:
- what permaculture really is beyond gardening
- systems thinking and interconnected living
- observation, patterns, and relationships
- Earth Care, People Care, and Fair Shares
- sufficiency, reciprocity, and thoughtful consumption
- working with natural cycles and feedback
- how small and slow changes create lasting impact
This course includes:
- short video lessons
- guided reflections and observation prompts
- downloadable worksheets
This is not a course about perfection or withdrawal from modern life.
It is an invitation to notice more deeply, think more systemically, and make small, meaningful shifts that support a more regenerative and connected way of living.
Whether you are completely new to permaculture, feeling overwhelmed by modern life, or looking for a gentler and more grounded entry point into regenerative thinking, you are warmly welcome here.
You do not need to do everything at once.
One small shift is enough.
